CBR Atom B win Silver at Southern Shore Atom B tournament
On the weekend of Dec 12 and 13, the CBR Atom B All-star team won the silver medal at the Southern Shore Atom B invitational hockey tournament. In round robin play, CBR beat Bonavista and St. John's but lost to the host Southern Shore team. The fun had only begun when CBR faced off against a confident Goulds' Pacers team in the crossovers. CBR came out hard and scored early to give CBR a 1 - 0 lead. The whole game was filled with end to end action but CBR scored late in the game to give CBR a 2-0 lead and a spot in the Gold Medal game. In the Gold Medal game, CBR once again faced the team from the Southern Shore. The team from CBR showed tremendous effort and worked really hard for the whole game but had to settle for the Silver Medal.
Throughout the tournament, player of the game awards went to Cory Porter, Jacob Gill, Daniel McCarthy, Bradley Hatcher and Travais Jackson.
