CBR Atom "A" Bring Home the Gold for Christmas

 The CBR Atom "A" Renegades went undefeated and captured the Gold Medal at the 17th Annual Mt. Pearl All Star Invitational Christmas Hockey Tournament. In round robin play CBR defeated the Mt. Pearl Blades by a score of 2 - 0 in the opening game. They followed it up with a 6 - 4 win over the Corner Brook Royals and then clinched the top seed with a 2 - 2 tie against the St. John's Caps. In cross over play CBR played a solid game and defeated the Royals by a final score of 3 - 1. The final was a rematch between the Renegades and the Blades in front of a jam packed Glacier Arena. In a see saw battle that went back and forth, both teams were tied 2 -2 after regulation play. During an exciting five minute sudden death overtime, both teams had several chances to win it but with 5.1 seconds remaining CBR's Jacob Upshall roofed the game winner to clinch the title for the Renegades.

Head Coach - Chris Lake, Assistant Coaches - Robert Rose, Corey Traverse, Ron Tobin, and Ray Walsh. Stickboy - Gavin " The Coyote" Lambert.
